Barkerville Provincial Park Barkerville was once a prosperous gold mining town and the Barkerville Provincial Park keeps this history alive. Guided tours of the town are offered so visitors can learn about the lives of prospectors as well as pan for gold. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are also possible in the park.
